The Story of CBN Cambodia
In 1998, CBN WorldReach began its work in Cambodia by sharing the message of God’s love through the primetime television special, 1,000 Years in the Killing Fields. Since then, CBN Animation series such as SuperBook and The Flying House have been translated into Khmer and broadcast throughout the country.
A milestone was reached in 2001 when Cambodian authorities allowed the weekly broadcast of SuperKids Club, an original CBN children’s program specially produced in the Khmer language. It airs each week on Cambodia’s TV5, along with a special Cambodian edition of CBN’s youth-oriented music video program, One Cubed.
CBN Cambodia is registered with the Cambodian government as an International NGO (Non Governmental Organization). CBN Cambodia also has a humanitarian relief department which works in cooperation with Operation Blessing International to help less-fortunate Cambodians through medical clinics, cleft lip and palate surgeries, fresh-water wells, educational scholarships for children, and aid to victims of natural disasters.
